Another Human-Nature Day

Another in a not-so-regular series of posts highlighting nature's nature & 'ain't that odd'

Have you noticed how the media and talking heads put nature "on the other side" through their references and words? Even respected scientist use some of these reference types.

  • Nature at its worst
  • Man against nature
  • Conquer nature
  • Tame nature
  • Fight nature
  • Nature delivered another blow
  • Nature devastated the town
  • Change nature's ways
  • Nature's wrath

What is wrong with this picture? Ain't that Odd --Should nature just be a being thing, not to fight? Should we 'tame our ways' to live beside, inside and in harmony with nature?

I know all creatures are affected by nature. But, can we get a scientific study going into the language of every creature. I would like to hear and know if they view nature in these negative terms?

Also, IF global warming were occurring without any cause from man, would that be bad? My answer is no. While our lives may cease to exist and/or the entire human race perishes, it is not nature-bad and it is still very green. It is only bad from our human-centric perspective. And remember, if other animals did not go extinct and others did not evolve, the general thinking is that man would not have been possible! Now that is worth thinking about!
