Another in a not-so-regular series of posts highlighting nature's nature & 'ain't that odd'
Wow, man and nature seem so at odds. It never ceases to astound me how man, we, think we should have to control, manage and "fix" nature. There are scientist out there that want to put massive amounts of iron in our oceans to "fix" greenhouse gases. Some want to inject our atmosphere with certain types of sulfides to reduce our global warming by reflecting out the sunlight! Others want to mine the moon and place settlements on planets - we don't even have the ability to work in harmony on earth and we want to go elsewhere! Wow, just astounding.
We have yet to learn the easiest, most direct approach to living in harmony, as part of nature, is to reduce our world population. It is simple math. If we do not take this approach, all others are just band aids.
As for those scientific "fixes" -- wow, Man is so arrogant in our thinking when it comes to "conquering" nature and the universe. We have a large case of Nature Deficit Disorder.
So, let's regroup and focus on the basics and get back to nature. It can heal itself if we just nurture her.
