Extinction -- Is it 'BAD"?

Another in a not-so-regular series of posts highlighting nature's nature & 'ain't that odd'
We all know and understand that animals live, die and have cycles of life. They also have historically disappeared off the face of the earth. If some species did not become extinct others, and possible humans, may never have come about. So, the question is: So what if species become extinct? Is it really 'BAD"?

I advocate a No!. While humans may not like it when species become extinct, it is actually a part of nature's more complex life cycle. Going, becoming and being extinct has occurred throughout the span of earth. It IS nature.

Some scientist believe, speculate and calculate more species have become extinct. This is especially true in the broader sense as our earth radically changed its weather, environment and hospitality, or hostility of the home of earth.

Extinct only matters to man. Nature does not care and will never miss a beat. It is not "BAD" by nature's standard -- it is her standard; it is her natural normal way of life. It is how other species evolve, adjust, and become different over time. So, while the polar bear may vanish and that is sad, to man, it is by no means the end of the world, nor is it 'BAD'.

Now, if man became extinct, would that be 'BAD' for nature, for the environment and for wildlife? I don't think so -- Go Figure!
