May Is Arbor Month

Save a tree, plant a tree or just go to your local arboretum and enjoy the pleasure of a tree.

And on this special Memorial Day, say a prayer and special thanks for our service men and women who make our freedoms possible and we take for granted. Thanks for your service and sacrifices.

As a green gift to Mom Earth as well as a kick for fossil fuels, let ask this question.

What would the fossil fuel impact be and what would the USA energy consumption and carbon factor be if we implemented a simple "illegal to drive on this day" if your license plate number ends in an odd number? We could rotate odd/even like several states have done to conserve water during droughts. Just like no watering lawns, no washing cars, etc; we simply have the equivalent by "do not drive today" if your license plate ends in...!

For one day a week, individuals would not be legally allowed to drive their car. It may be hard at first, but once implemented for a while I think people would adjust.

What would it be like if we passed this emergency "no driving today"?
